I dine out a lot when away with work and this is one of the best meals I’ve had. An unassuming little gastropub / restaurant which is tastefully decorated and offers a superbly warm and friendly welcome and seriously delicious food. Can whole heartedly recommend the delicate cauliflower Pakora starter with equally delicious dips elegantly placed on the plate. The Bay Tree Rossini (fillet steak on a pate croute with rich mushroom sauce), was amazing. For 26 I was expecting it to be good but this - for a little eatery in an off-the-beaten-track Midlands village - was superb. The service was genuine but unobtrusive and even the chef came out to see if the dinner was enjoyable. Highly recommended.

First time in the Bay tree and it didn’t disappoint. Sharon gave a warm welcome into a cosy, comfy atmosphere. I had the chicken pate, it was the first time I have tried chicken pate and it was absolutely beautiful. I will continue to try this again. For my main it was the beef wellington, again never had this before and it was absolutely gorgeous, I did think the sauce was sweet on its own but with the rest of the food it really compliments the whole meal. Then finally I had the creme brulee and it was better then Miller and Carter. So much lighter and so was the treacle pudding. Service was always spot on and nothing was out of their way. Thank you Bay Tree for helping making memories for me and my partner. We will be coming back again.

Huge thanks to all the staff Emily, Beck, Bea, Izzy, Alice, Gill, Damon and Barry. They’ve clearly worked hard to make this a welcoming space with a really warm atmosphere.

I had a fabulous birthday meal. On this particular day, they had some staffing issues, but we were kept up to speed. After lunch, the chef came round to every table and apologised for the delay, which the standard of food more than made up for.
